Of all the print media I love etching the best.
It is visually the richest media as the print is physically three dimensional. The paper is pushed into the plate and the ink is therefore sitting above the paper surface. Etchings were the first print media I studied at university and continued doing when I discovered the Open Studio in about 1969. There was an active print community to learn from, and exchange ideas. Later a larger press viscosity colour rollers helped make it an exciting place to work.
