These three watercolours were inspired from a trip to New York. We stayed in an unrenovated apartment, in a friends building. Stephen placed a vase of flowers and a nice bowel on a shelf to make a more welcome space. A photo of the morning sunlight and shadows made a striking pattern that inspired me to later make these images.
