The first three watercolours are large pieces based on material from Manitoulin Island. It is thinking of what is seen and the shadow of what has been taken away over the years. Awareness of loss / history is the first stage of understanding and making decisions in the present. The third piece is intrusion without thinking.
As is shown in other pages I have had an interest in combining mediums. These last five are examples of this with smaller studies from the shore studies mounted on panels and extended and over painted with acrylic. They are then coated with medium to unite and protect.
